Return to first semester assignments
Return to Adv. first semester assigns.

HOW TO SUBMIT PHOTO ASSIGNMENTS
•To submit your digital photo asssignments, put one image on each Photoshop slide background.
•Each slide needs a colored background and a border, or drop shadow, around the image.
•Each slide should have your name, assignment name and period # written at the bottom.
•All assignments will be SAVED AS p#yourlastname_assignment name -all one word, no spaces.
•For example: the images below are my portrait assignment submissions, so they would be named:
p1vendsel_portrait1
p1vendsel_portrait2

IF your image is horizontal, the Photoshop slide background should be
1024px wide x 768px tall @ 72ppi..... like the image below.

IF your image is vertical, the Photoshop slide background should be
768px wide x 1024px tall @ 72ppi..... like the image below.

BELOW ARE COMMON MISTAKES THAT YOU WANT TO AVOID WHEN SUBMITTING YOUR PHOTOS!
IMAGE TOO SMALL...
•IN THE EXAMPLE BELOW, THE IMAGE IS TOO SMALL ON THE BACKGROUND -IT'S A PHOTO ASSIGNMENT, THE PHOTOS SHOULD BE DOMINANT (VERY LARGE) ON THE BACKGROUND.

IMPROPER ALIGNMENT...
•IN THE IMAGE BELOW, THE PHOTO IS IMPROPERLY ALIGNED ON THE BACKGROND. THE SPACE ON EACH SIDE OF THE PHOTO MUST BE EQUAL.

INCORRECT SHAPE BACKGROUND...
•IN THE IMAGE BELOW, THE PHOTO IS ON THE INCORRECT BACKGROND. VERTICAL PHOTOS SHOULD BE PLACED ON VERTICAL BACKGROUNDS -PLACING THE PHOTO ON THE CORRECT SHAPE BACKGROUND IT MAKES THE PHOTO BIGGER AND IT BECOMES THE FOCAL POINT OF THE PRESENTATION,RATHER THAN THE BACKGROUND.

PHOTO IS DISTORTED...

•WHEN YOU RESIZE YOUR PHOTO ON A BACKGROUND (USING "COMMAND T") YOU MUST HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY AND DRAG ONLY THE CORNER OF THE PHOTO... OTHERWISE, YOUR IMAGE BECOMES DISTORTED -IT LOOKS STRETCHED OR SQUISHED.
